The Device

Give your bees a computer of their own.

An isolated Linux desktop where they install programs, browse the web and use the screen like a person, while you watch or look away.

How it works

Start the Device

It runs in Docker on your machine or server, separate from your own desktop.

Ask a bee

“Install GIMP on the Device.” The bee uses Linux packages to do it.

Watch it work

Open Desktop → Device to see the screen, files and the browser as they change.

Approve what matters

Actions with side effects wait for your permission.

What it can do

📦

Installs programs

With apt or downloaded .deb packages, and keeps them between sessions.

👁️

Sees the screen

Screenshots, screen-text reading and visual understanding for models that support images.

🖱️

Clicks and types

Clicks, keys and text input, plus opening applications.

📲

Websites as apps

Services that only exist on the web get installed as a program of the Device.

🌐

Shared browser

The Device browser is the same one the bees drive, so you can follow along.

🧱

Contained

It lives in a container with its own files, away from yours.

Honest status

  • It needs Docker; it is not included in the cloud plan yet.
  • The browser debugging port must stay on localhost or a private network, never open to the internet.
  • Isolation is at container level, and per-customer Devices for the cloud are not provisioned automatically yet.
